Wednesday, August 8th all entries have been processed at CHQ and have now been posted to the web site, but we do not close the entry process. As of Wednesday, August 8th at noon any new entries received will be added to the bottom of the alternate list as “Late Paid Alternates”. Additional entries will be accepted by their entry time stamp to fill any unfilled slots. Online entry via Active.com will remain open until Wednesday, September 12th. Mailed entries can still be sent in to CHQ, but remember the time lag at the post office. That said the last week before the contest any competitor that wishes to enter should have their District Director hand carry their entry to the competition meeting the day before the event starts. There are no beach entries. The competition meeting is the last time for anyone to make an official withdraw from the event and be issued a refund. Please review the entry form for more details.
The 45th Anniversary of the Easterns Championships will be held Sept. 16-22, 2012 at Jennette’s Pier, Mile Marker 16.5, Nags Head, North Carolina. Emergency back up date is Sept 23rd. All athletes and families are to park in the public parking lot, across the street from the pier entrance, next to Sam and Omie’s Restaurant (like last year) in consideration for our permit (mile post 16.5). Please remember we are to also recycle our recyclable trash in the correct bins too. Remember to stay in touch with your district director as last day for an emergency withdrawal is Saturday, 9 a.m. on Sept 15th. Safe travels!
